Utes loose it in the final MINUTE!!!!

BYU beat the the Utes by 1 touchdown in a hard fought game. It was actually closer than even that score indicates. This makes BYU the outright winner of the Mountain West Conference for 2007, and gives BYU it's first 2 in-a-row victory over the U of U on a LONG time.

Packers come back ... again to beat Chiefs

It was over when ... Packers CB Charles Woodson intercepted Damon Huard's pass and returned it 46 yards for a touchdown with 59 seconds left in the game. The Packers took the lead on -- what else? -- Brett Favre's 60-yard touchdown pass to Greg Jennings with 3:05 left, got a field goal from Mason Crosby before Woodson's game-sealer. The Packers are now on top of the NFC North with a 7-1 record, a game ahead of the Lions (6-2).

Bryant, Lakers Defeat Jazz

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (AP) -- Kobe Bryant has had so many buzzer-beaters and 50-point games, he's lost count. When he blocks a dunk attempt - now that's memorable.
The Los Angeles Lakers were leading by seven points midway through the fourth quarter when Bryant made the ultimate defensive stop on Utah's Andrei Kirilenko. The two-time NBA scoring champ then got six of his 33 points in the final 4 1/2 minutes to secure a 119-109 victory over the Jazz on Sunday night.

Jazz Throttle Warriors-AGAIN

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 3 (AP) -- The Utah Jazz took a page from the Golden State Warriors playbook, going with an uptempo offense.
Deron Williams scored 16 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and the Utah Jazz beat the Golden State Warriors 133-110 on Saturday night.
With the Jazz holding a six-point lead, Williams made seven of his final eight shots to turn the game into a rout. Utah's 133 points were the most for the team since a 133-124 overtime victory over Minnesota on Nov. 24, 1997.
"I have been disappointed in my shooting effort, but I got a couple of easy ones and I got my confidence going,'' said Williams, who also had 11 assists. "I felt good out there.''

Utah Hammers Orediggers in Exhibition Contest, 83-40

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's basketball team opened its exhibition season with an 83-40 pasting of Montana Tech Thursday night at the Huntsman Center.
New Runnin' Ute head coach Jim Boylen's first contest ever at the Huntsman Center began with a junior Luke Nevill (Perth, Australia) dunk 13 seconds into the contest and Utah never trailed. The game was tied for just more than one minute when Jeramie Hopson answered for the Orediggers. A 10-0 Utah run was sparked by back-to-back three-pointers from juniors Shaun Green (Salt Lake City) and Tyler Kepkay (Vancouver, B.C.) and the rout was on.
Ute sophomore Stephen Weigh (Rockhampton, Australia) led all scorers with 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Nevill chipped in 16 for the Utes, while Green was also in double figures with 11. Green added a game-high six assists for Utah, while sophomore Kim Tillie (Cagnes-sur Mer, France) pulled down a game-high seven rebounds. Utah shot .536 (30-of-56) from the field, including a .440 mark (11-of-25) from beyond the arc. The Runnin' Utes held a 42-20 advantage on the boards.
